Terminator Salvation

This movie keeps you salavting for more installments.

The fourth installment into the Terminator franchise was an action-packed film with links to the other three. As far as plot goes this movie is lacking in that department, but I don't think that was a mistake by McG. This movie does a good job of showing what happens during the beginning of the war against Skynet. Sure, you pretty much know whats going to happen in this movie, but it sets up nicely for more terminator movies. You most characters from the other 3 movies, you have a well played Kyle Reese (T1) played by Anton Yelchin, you see Kate Connor (T3) played by Bryce Dallas Howard, of course Bale as the resistance leader John Connor. You even get to see a T-101 for a brief second towards the end of the movie to keep all of the Arnold fans happy. It is possible to make a good Terminator movie without Arnold. I would rather see a better movie without him than a bad one with a 6o year old terminator. The action sequences are nice, its loud, explosive, and exciting as most terminator movies are. Sam Worthington does a wonderful job as Marcus Wright, an inmate on death row that donates his body to Cyberdyne right before he is put to death. This movie is a good way to start off a new trilogy of terminator movies. If we can remember the first terminator movie was for the most part a slow movie. Just because the story doesn't advance too much from what we already know, it is still a hell of a movie. The movies introduces tons of new machines that we havent seen before in the other terminator movies, as well as some old ones too (Hunter Killers). If you are a fan of the terminatori series you should definately give this one a try its worth seeing. If anything this movie make the older ones better and sets up for more to come. Now you can picture Kyle Reese when he says that he was living in and out of trash cans after judgement day happens. The movie was a fun nostalgic ride that keeps you wanting to learn more about the war on the machines. They do a great job of incorporating the first 3 stories and making sense of what happens in the future.

See this movie in theaters. If you don't like the movie the sounds and visuals are enough to see in theaters.
